Thomas Sheraton’s Designs for Cabinet-Makers
The “Sheraton style” is often associated with the refined elegance of late 18th century neo-classic furniture. Whilst he may have worked as a cabinet-making journeyman, it is unlikely that Sheraton ever owned or ran a cabinet-making workshop. His fame rests solely through the considerable publications he produced through which we can gain a good understanding of furniture styles of the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
